I was born and raised on a farm in the Toluca area, so all through my childhood our family would go to Mona’s and Capponi’s. After High School I started bartending at several different taverns in the area while helping my dad farm. In 1987, Mike Bernardi asked me if I would be interested in bartending part-time at Capponi’s. I took the job and learned a lot working with Duane Martin another bartender at Capponi’s. In 1989 I took a full-time bartending job at Mona’s and in addition to managing the bar I have also been the assistant manager and the general manager, and I have been here ever since!!

Over the years I have made a lot of great friends both customers and co-workers, but none more special then my wife Cindy who started working at Mona’s right before I did. In 1993 we were married in a ceremony that was held at Mona’s and we live with our 3 children in Toluca. Please come in and enjoy a combination of good food, service and hospitality that is becoming very hard to find!
